Eine Bewertung aus der “Horse Tack Review”:
Manufacturer: Victor
Model: Victor Equitation Model
Category: Show Saddles
Purchase: This saddle was purchased for use as an Equitation/Western Pleasure saddle at Class A and Regional Arabian Horse shows. New, these saddles cost anywhere from $3000 to over $5000 for a custom model, and the one that I acquired is a “vintage” model made sometime in the 1980’s […]
Likes: The quality of this saddle simply cannot be denied. The tree is strong, the saddle is solid and heavy, the leather is gorgeous even after years of use, the tooling is deep and in wonderful condition…on top of all of this, the saddle fits almost every horse that I try it on!
Dislikes: The only thing I don’t like is the lack of silver. The silver that is on the saddle is top notch, sterling silver, and the lacing around the cantle is fabulous, but there are no corner plates to spice it up. Easily remedied though!
Quality: As I mentioned above, Victor makes a quality saddle that simply cannot be compared to most of the mass produced show saddles out there today. This “vintage” model oozes style and class, and I would put it up against anything that’s made today without problem. If you want quality that will last a lifetime, this is the saddle to buy!
Summary: A great saddle…the only thing to look out for is in making sure that you really love what you’re buying, because it’s not going to wear out on you! Of course, these saddles hold their retail value (just saw one sell for $1400 on Ebay that was made in the 1970’s) so you could always sell it once you’re done with it!
